Ingredients
1 Kg | Pork |
3 teaspoon: | Chopped bamboo shoots |
1 teaspoon: | Chopped ginger |
1 teaspoon: | Chopped garlic |
1 piece: | Tomato (medium-sized), quartered. |
3-4 pieces: | green chillies, chopped. |
1 teaspoon: | Salt |

Directions
Preparing the stew:
- First wash the pork with proper care, drain and then cut into 1-inch pieces.
- After cutting the pork, place the pieces in a pan over high heat with enough water to cover the meat.
- Wait for the water to boil, then switch off the fire, and drain the water.
- Once the meat is drained, place the pork back into the pan, add a fresh round of water to the pan and bring to boil again.
- Then, mix in the remaining ingredients of chopped bamboo shoots, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, green chillies, and salt.
- Cover the pan and cook the stew over low heat.
- Simmer for around 30 minutes till the meat is soft and tender.
- Take the stew off the fire once the meat is cooked and serve with rice.
