Description: The Most notable feature of the social structure of the Zemi Naga is the institution of the Morung - the Zemi Naga youth dormitory. It is a place for joy and other social activities. As soon the boy or girl reaches to the age of eight or nine, he/she starts to sleep in the respective dormitory. During day time they work in their houses but at night they go to the Morung. After marriage they stop this practice. The boy's dormitory is known as Hanseoki and the girls dormitory is known as Leaseoki. The Leader of the Morung is known as Kezeipu who teaches the members to be one perfect in hunting, fishing, fighting and other arts. The members also learn spinning, weaving, music, folk tales, art of using spears, making of musical instrument, shield etc. in the Morung.
