Description: It is a well known versified Persian Text of didactic stories, written by Shaikh Muslih-u-Din Sadi of Shiraz in 655 AH. (1257 AD). The work was transcribed in Nastaliq characters by Shahsawar-al-Katib at Mandu for the Royal treasures of Nasir Shah, the Kahlji Sultan of Malwa (1500- 1510 AD) and was put up for perusal in 1502 AD. The illustrations are by a single artist, Haji Mahmud, who is also the illuminator.
