Description: It is a Persian painting that depicts a man reading a book and indulging in wine while sitting on a tree. The reverse side has a Persian inscription. The panel of Nastaliq calligraphy by Pir Muhammad (Ref book; modern calligraphy by M. Ziauddin Pg-28) is very identical to the relevant specimen. The work is fragile and extremely damaged, largely stained. The specimen needs proper restoration. An elaborate inscription is given on the reverse side of the painting.
