Divided into two parts, the first part of the collection has documents of the period before the treaty of Seringapatam, contracted with Tipu Sultan in 1792, under which Malabar became a part of the Company. The second part has documents from 1792 to 1891. The documents enclosed have treaties, orders, proceedings, notifications and proclamation concerning revenue and lease, taxation, trade, abolition and restoration of settlements and services, friendly alliances and security.
