Description: This document is a report on the examination, analysis and restoration of the manuscripts that were obtained from Colonel Mackenzie. The manuscripts are in different languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Sanskrit, and about varied subjects. It includes a narrative of the Coimbatore city with chapters on Chola, Oyisala and Vijayanagara kingdoms, a traditionary guardship of the Pamiseram temple committed to seven people, a brief on the subject of the accession of the son of Tirumala Nayak to the throne of Madurai, an account of kings of four ages as well as a manuscript on Chatur Vinsati Purana.
