It is tailored from cloth and worked with metal thread and sequins. It is known in the local dialect as Joji. This piece looks like a large cobra, the hood is worn over the head, and its tail trailing along the back. It is designed in a way that it tapers down to a narrow end. An occasional wear, Joji is worn along with the Peshwaz, and the two combined, make a wedding costume.

Description : This light green woollen 'namavali shawl' is woven with inscription all over the field, Siva-Parvati on the pallu and an additional woven tape is stitched on the side borders. Its field has three rows, which are further divided into thirty-two small squares, making ninety-six squares altogether. These small squares depict inscriptions in the Devanagri script. Namvali shawls are made using different techniques; weaving, embroidering, printing or painting, which became very popular around the 18th-19th century. These shawls were worn by the devotees especially during the rituals.
