Description: The video looks at the various activities and festivals organized by the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) in 2009-2010. The WZCC in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, India under the Pilot Project for Creative and Cultural Industries organized a pottery and terracotta workshop in Udaipur along with workshops on the digital, puppet making and metal casting. The metal casting workshop was held in Gujarat. Many memorable festivals and events were organized during that period. The Ramnagar Ramlila was brought to Udaipur with much fanfare. The Umang festival was held in Udaipur and it saw the participation of many children. The Octave festival was held in Surat, Gujarat and the audience were enthralled with many interesting folk and traditional art forms of the North East like the Bihu dance of Assam, Pung Cholom of Manipur and the Emo-Relo dance of Arunachal Pradesh. The Shilpgram Utsav also drew large crowds.
