Besides the classical wind instruments, the recording includes folk wind instruments like the surnai, mashak, algoza, narh and bankia from Rajasthan, khangling and thunchen from the Himalayan region and the khung from Manipur. The other wind instruments are shankh from Orissa, pungi from Haryana, pavri from Maharashtra, mohuri from Bihar, kol from West Bengal, ransinga and limbu from Himachal Pradesh.
